In Loving Memory of Richard "Rick" Westbrook

The Heart of Bayville January 13, 1969 – April 23, 2025

With loved ones by his side, Richard “Rick” Westbrook peacefully passed into the arms of the Lord on April 23, 2025. Born in Fort Ord, Monterey, California, on January 13, 1969, Rick lived a life marked by warmth, devotion, and quiet strength.

For 29 years, Rick was the heart and soul of Bayville—more than a colleague or friend, he was family to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His dedication to the members, the staff, and the game of golf helped shape the very spirit of the community he loved so deeply.

Rick’s signature smile, quick wit, and genuine hugs made people feel truly seen and valued. He had a remarkable way of lighting up every room he entered—offering laughter, love, and comfort with effortless grace.

He faced ALS with courage and dignity, never letting the disease define his spirit. His resilience, generosity, and unwavering love for others remain a lasting inspiration to all who knew him.

Deepest gratitude is extended to his compassionate care team, whose presence brought peace in the most challenging times, and to the Virginia Gentleman Foundation Donors for their unwavering support throughout Rick’s journey.

Rick’s legacy is one of joy, loyalty, and quiet strength—a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of many. In honor of his memory, future donations will help support those suffering from ALS and provide much needed resources for research and working towards a cure.
